Well look at that! It would appear Yuneec doesn't care what you do with your UAS after you purchase it (within legal limits). It also looks like there is no data sent between the pilot and Yuneec (unless you have a problem and it needs to be repaired). I'm pretty sure the updates for firmware are downloaded from a website and you can upload them without the airframe being connected to an internet or network attached computer. Seems like Yuneec is doing something right. Now we just need the airframe released!
Truly. I contacted Peau Productions today to see about fitting one of their 8.25mm lenses to a spare CGO-3. I'm still catching my breath over the $290.00 parts and labor quote. Hmmm, $290 for a lens or $4k for a 520? 520 wins.
