I don’t want to be a pain in the *** and if the mod deems this as inappropriate by all means remove this thread. I’m only hoping that he sees this post and contacts me.

I sent my drone and camera to Yuneec Skins over 3 months ago after paying for the service fee. I have yet to hear back from him. Even after trying several attempts via phone call, email, text and direct message.

I couldn’t leave a message today because the mailbox is full. But I did text him that if I don’t hear from him by the end of the day I will be filing a lawsuit.

Again I caution anyone against sending Yuneec Skins anything. I use my drone in my business and have been adversely impacted.

Good Luck. John talks a good story he seems to know the Yuneec drone line. But his customer service is questionable at best. When I sent my whole drone kit to him this took over 3 1/2 months to get back. I will not go into the items that were returned when I received it back..... Use Vertigo Drones they are THE BEST NO QUESTION. STAY AWAY FROM Yuneec Skins !!!!

Certainly what is happening is truly shameful.

I want to hope that what's happening is not due to serious problems for John, also on EBay there are no recent feedbacks.

In any case, the customers of a business should always be protected. You could think of getting together in an association and making a lawsuit on behalf of everyone, in order to divide the expenses.

Ok. Anyone else have an issue with Yuneec Skins that would like to file? They are located in Sacramento County California. I’m in Denver.

That's a shame. I've done business with John for a few years and he's been very good with a quick turn around! The last time was in July., I don't know what's happened since then. I'm sorry to hear the negative results about him.

I've had nothing but great experiences with John in the past. I've been one of the few people he has let come to his residence/shop. I consider him a friend as well as a technician.
I tried to contact him a while back and no response. I am more worried about his health or if he is in financial trouble. He was the only one on the West Coast keeping these Yuneec drones operable. Yuneec has abandoned not only their hobby users but their enterprise users. John took the time and investment to buy out all of KAV's inventory when they went belly up.
What are you going to file against? He is a 1 man operation and has helped many of us when Yuneec wouldn't. Pretty sure you won't ever see a nickle from a lawsuit.

I have to agree that John has been a great asset to Yuneec owners here in the US as well as the forum members worldwide.

I think the biggest issue is his lack of keeping customers updated about their property entrusted to his care. If he is having issues that prevent him from tending to repairs his customers need to be informed of what is going on.

I am hopeful for a quick resolution to whatever is causing these issues.

When I first joined this form, John and his business were a major blessing to the Yuneec community. He salvaged a lot of parts from an old repair center and sold them at discounted prices. YuneecSkins also repaired a lot of cameras that were deemed unrepairable by others. I don't know if he still has it, but he also hosted a website that listed parts and cameras he had for sale at discounted prices, and he hosted all the downloads for most Yuneec drones, gimbals, and cameras. To say the least, John and his business helped a lot of people.

Over the last couple of months, I have noticed a trend of unhappy customers, due to lack of communication and lengthy repair times. I don't know if John or any of his family were effected by the fires that destroyed so many homes and businesses, but it may be part of the problem he is having. This is just my opinion, not facts. I am just trying to bring to attention, the many things in life that can cause us problems, and they usually trickle down and affect others at the same time.

Three months is a long wait, and with the Yuneec customer base dwindling down, I don't see a reason it should take this long to repair a drone, unless unforeseen circumstances are in his way.

I also bought out a local repair center close to me, and ended up with a LOT of broken drones, cameras, and new and used parts. I purchased mine to save for future repairs, since I am such a bad pilot.

There is a seller on eBay who has a LOT of new and used Yuneec equipment for sale. They accept offers, and to give you an idea as to the offers they will accept, I purchased an E50 and an E90 camera/gimbals, both brand new and paid 135 dollars for both. So, they have some GREAT deals.

As far as repairs, if you are handy with your hands, take a look at the repair manual that many of the members here put together. It could save you some cash and time.

I had the same issue. It’s being reported elsewhere in the forum that John passed away suddenly. I sent his YP account a DM to express condolences and hope someone is monitoring it so we can learn the status of the repairs sent to him.

In shock trying to sort thru everything
Any luck yet. Mine was 4 months.
John was ill last June and off for two months and never recovered from the work overload since then. He would overwork trying to catch up and then have another set back. He could not get to all the phone calls and emails that were coming in by the thousands. In the last 4 years he had over 3,500 repairs and he worked over 20 hours a day because of his love of Yuneec Drones and trying to keep it alive He felt he was responsible for the name and being able to keep Yuneec Drone flyers in the air. He had not been able to fly and enjoy a recreation time in the air for at least 4 years - it was all about Yuneec - it was a big weight on his shoulders that no one could possibly imagine. I am picking up the pieces between tears. All drones will be retunred to owners as soon as I can. i will contact you about what you have returned.

May The Lord to give you peace at this sad time.I also have lost so many friends and Family in this time and I pray for you to find comfort in the memories, how many people John's life helped, made happy, solved their problems gave and shared advice gave us freely his opinions and tried to give encouragement to all of our Yuneec community. For one man to try with all his waking hours to serve so many of us in his dedication to our problems was in itself a miracle in Living his life. You must be proud and we all are thankful for his services. God bless and give you peace. Keith
