I got my 920 plus today. Huge FedEx box truck the guy pulls up I notice water running out from under door he lifts door and there is 2 1ft holes in the front right top of roof .thank God my boxes were on top of 2 pallets on the other side of truck.so unboxed noticed st16 in powered on position turned off then back on nothing but black screen so turned off hooked to charger after an hr I powered it back on blue light but nothing else not even a battery charge reading.so after charging 2 hrs turn back on it boots up and fans come on. And now shows battery charging. So far so good .the props look like plastic not carbonfiber

Yeah the props aren't the plastic like the 480 props but they don't look like carbon fiber either. Wouldn't want to catch my hands in them while they were spinning. Can you say blender time?

Yes it would be bad. When I opened box there was nothing but drone in view.didn't you say you had a doa st16 with the 920 you sent back

Yes the st16 that came with the plus was DOA on the touchscreen functionality

I bought another 920 orig and the seller had installed the quick release system which I like also. Such a pain to take all the screw out and then the lock washers start to drill holes into the blades.

Mine was till I charged battery for a couple hours. I don't know if they hurt to st16 battery or not drawing it down that low

I had charged the st16 and all batteries before firing the bird up. The seller gave me a refund so I'm pretty sure the st16 was toast. There were scratches and scuff marks on the top of the bird and the unit and camera didn't want to bind. The 920 and the CGO4 both came up with 2 options to bind to. Called Yuneec and they said it was normal(NOT).

Hope to power it up tomorrow. To check for binding before I register it

Yeah I was deeply dissapointed as I wanted to have an orig and a plus so I could do the smart modes and team mode but went with 2 origs

There's 2 types of pilots. One that hasn't crashed and those that will. I wanted 2 so that I have parts. I've got 2 480's for the same reason. Got 3 cgo4's, 4 st24's, 3 st16's, 1 wizard, 3 cgo3+'s and a partridge and a pear tree.

Lol. Knock on wood my h hasn't had a spill. Hopefuly the same with this 920

With the scarcity of the 920's in the US I wanted to round 2 up before they either don't exist or are expensive because no one can get parts.

I'm one of the lucky ones that had 2 back to back fly aways that Yuneec repaired and replaced because it was not user error. The logs proved that joy stick and RTH had no effect. Both flights were 20 seconds and had been calibrated and acclimated to satellites. Had one good battery flight between crashes and the batteries were inserted in all the way. Been good for over a year now.

Yea. Only 1 in my budget just have to get a few extra parts I wish I had the main body shells I would have my buddy that specialises in carbonfiber and mold making. For Disney cast a mold

I'm also going to insure it before I fly it

State Farm was a great deal for me. $50/year. For commercial I'm going with the app for $10/hour.
