Hi all,

Really needing your help with my Q500 repairs!

I had a crash and needed to replace an ESC. A new one has been installed but now the drone isn't connecting to the GUI. It now places a somewhat elaborate tune (which is slowly driving me mad), all rear/front lights are on permanently and the centre light is flashing three times per second.

I uploaded this video to show what the drone is doing:

Looking forward to your responses as I am stumped.

Thank you,
Kerr

What happens when you try to use the GUI ??
I've had the same scenario with the red led after a rebuild.
I was able to connect with the GUI that told me a sensor was not working.
I fixed the issue and no more red led....
I had a pinched wire in the shell that brought the whole system down.
My suggestion would be to pull it apart and start the reinstall again.
Look here: Rebuild Complete

I kind of like the tune. You could add a bit of rap to that and it would sell. ;)

Hi,

Thanks for your response!

So I just solved the problem - it turns out my USB 3 port isn't compatible. I switched to an older Windows machine with USB 2 Ports instead of my Mac and it connected instantly. I would recommend this as it also came with a .exe to install the usb driver making things a bit quicker too as opposed to having to work in terminal and ensure you get your commands right.
