Does anyone know if off brand batteries are just as good, and if changing to a higher mah such as from 4000mah to a 5000mah battery helps in longer flight times. Just bought the 920 plus and trying to a couple sets with out breaking the bank.

Actually the original batteries are horrible. I can not recommand using them. There were a lot of reported crashs in the past related to overstressed batteries.

Unfortunatly I cannot recommand you any alternatives since the once I would by (in Germany) are in many cases not available in other countries. Best option is to refer to @Steve Carr

Measure the batteries laid out as they fit into the bird together length, width height.
Believe the front to back length is 167mm
width (l-R) is 98/99mm
height 46mm

There are many 6s 22.2V 4000Mah + batteries with these nominal dimensions as a set of 2.
So 1 battery would be;
167mm long
45-49mm wide
45-46mm tall

There are 3 plugs, since this is wired in parallel the voltage is constant, 2 batteries in the cavity will be adequate.

There is a video on you tube (In German)of a H920, that did a flight test with 2 6S batteries.

Here is a battery that will fit into the H920 compartment;

Brand: Ovonic
Chemistry: Li-polymer
Cell Number: 6S
Voltage(V): 22.2V
Capacity(mAh): 4500mAh
Discharge Rate (C): 50C
Max Burst discharge Rate: 100C
Charge Plug: JST-XH
Discharge Plug: Deans Plug / XT60 connector
Battery Dimension: 140mm x 40mm x 50mm
Net Weight: 622g

BrandHRB
Capacity5000mAh
Cells6S
Voltage per pack22.2V
Maximum voltage per pack 25.2V
Voltage per cell3.7V
Maximum voltage per cell4.2V
Storage voltage per cell3.85V
Suggest chargerBalance charger
Discharge rate100C
Max Bust rate200C
Discharge connectorXT90
Battery size155 x 48 x 45mm
Battery weight per piece756g

For these you would either replace the plug with an EC3 connector or get an adapter...

These are just "suggestions" do a generalized search for 6s 22.2V min. 4000 Mah LiPo batteries, surely there will be a plethora of options...

There are several options, one needs to peruse battery distributors that deliver to your geographical area for batteries that will fit. I use Zippy 5,000mA batteries (2 per flight), others use different brands.

You should read the 920 alternative battery thread.

These are the right size and not too heavy, plus Venom has a good reputation for quality batteries.....

Im looking in a same thing. Most important thing is ec3 plugs they can hold 60amp, burst 90, and im using diffrent batteries 4000mah and 25-50c and with them im burining my xt-60 to ec3 adaptes, had 5flights, and have all ready 3 small burnt metal spots. Still im in a weight limit 1500g - 3 stock bateries, my batteries about 1400g, i want 2x 8000mah 15c, weight 1110g(each) more weight, you need more power, more power- bigger presure on engines, 1engine has around 2kg lifting power, 12kg. So my 2x4000mah 20min fly time (new batteries)
