Looking for some info/help from those that know about this. On the quad 500's(white and black versions) they have a latching battery door. What I'm looking to find out is if the drone knows that the door is latched/properly closed. Is there any type of electrical connection that tells the drone. I know that it is there for safety reasons.

There are no wires attached to the latch on the Q500, Typhoon H, H+, or H520.

The H3 and H520E were the first to incorporate an electrical switch indicating if the battery was not latched properly.

On the Q500 the door is there to help retain the battery in the aircraft. If the latch is not functioning properly, adding Velcro to hold it closed has worked well for many others.

Thanks again. But, my hopes are that GiFi will start to make a longer battery with more flight time like they are now making for the H+ and 520's. The door may have to be removed altogether and another means used to hold the battery in place. All my Q500 batteries do fit very tight and I can't see one falling out except if a crash occurs.
