Got it! 👍😁
I was able to load the new firmware. I’m just not sure what made the difference. I did keep the file name and it loaded.

Another thing I noticed after is that when I was formatting with a certain SD card it only had exFat32 and NTSF available. When I used a different SD card I got the fat32.

Thanks again WTF, Steve and the Forum!!
A great place for real help!! 🙏🫡
I need some more help.

The playback on the ST16 is pretty lame. I need to show clients images or videos on the spot.

There's a HDMI output on the ST16. I tried connecting that to a laptop, but couldn't recognize it. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong!lol.

Any advice?

If you are trying to display the pics and videos captured by the controller it really will not help much to use a better monitor. The resolution of the material is very poor.
If you still want to try it, perhaps @Ty Pilot, @slw74 or someone else may have some insight.

Oh, also I tried to use FPV goggles and could not acquire the signal. I also have a small receiver/monitor that scans the A,B,C and E bands as well as race band. Nothing.

Controller? aren't the images saved on the camera SD?
Yes, the high resolution images and video are saved to the camera. The controller records a low resolution archive copy in internal memory. It is only useful as verification and not for detailed viewing.
To see a quality image you must remove the sd card from the camera and view using a laptop.

The HDMI port on the ST16 is an output (to monitor or TV). The HDMI port on a laptop is also an output and not an input. Connect two outputs will never work.

Yes, the better options are viewing the images/video from the SD card on a higher resolution (like 1920x1080 or better) laptop or by connecting a hand held monitor to the HDMI on the ST-16, viewing the SD card in the card slot on the ST-16.

Provided the SD card used in the camera is 32GB or less. The ST16 cannot handle 64GB or greater cards.

The ST16 can only work with FAT and FAT32 formatting so is limited to SD cards of 32GB or less. The camera can take cards up to 128GB using exFAT.
