@Vaklin,
Your post in (Remapping ST16 Controls) shows a much more useable labeling of the buttons of the "Channel Function (Output)" screen. Buttons A01 through A08 on my ST16 are labeled with word abbreviations on yours. I would very much like to change mine. Do you (or does anyone) know how to change the button labels?

Thanks. That works. I'll change mine tonight when I get back inside.

You can also rename them in the model manifest file.

example:
fpv,1
version,1
name,Q500_modifiedChannels
type,401
f_mode_key,-1
analog_min,0
switch_min,0
rx_analog_num,10
rx_switch_num,2
alias,Thr&Ail&Ele&Rud&TestName1&A02&A03&A04&A05&A06&LDG&A08&A09&A10&A11&A12&A13&A14&A15&A16&A17&A18&A19&A20&

has a channel named "TestName" and the landing gear is renamed "LDG".

It looks like changing the channel for the landing gear switch can also be done by modifying the switches.csv file in the model. I will post that in the other thread on that topic.

No reason. This is one time naming for all models.

When I long press to rename the channels then it does change it for that model, but when I change models it loads whatever is in that model, so I don't think it is correct to say that it is one time for all models. Also, when I long press to rename, you are limited to 3 characters, but you can do more if you do it in the manifest file.

Just because you don't have a reason for it doesn't mean that there is no reason for it.
