Charging Amps

Just wondering what most of you guys set as your Amps to charge batteries on aftermarket chargers?

I use 3.5 amps. If I'm in a hurry I go to 4.5.

I use 1C rates for lipo's.

I use 4 amps right now, doesn't using higher amps put more stress on the battery?

Ar a certain point, which occurs above 1C, it does. Higher charge rates induce greater heat generation. Certainly charging at 1C will generate slightly more heat than charging at 0.5C or 0.75C but I have yet to learn of a lipo battery manufacturer that does not recommend charging their batteries at a 1C rate. In fact, most of them suggest exactly a 1C rate unless the battery is labeled to the contrary.

It's best to charge at 1C if your charger can handle the amperage/wattage, unless the manufacturer says differed

EX. - I had some smaller FPV lipos and the pack said I could charge at up to 3 or 4C.
