Discharging battery to 48% redneck style?

I am repairing a crashed Typhoon H that I got for free from my neighbor who has several drones. I do not want to spend any more money than it takes to get it flying to test it and make sure that it will be OK long term. I have the original battery charger without the extra capability to put the battery in a storage state. Is it possible to discharge a battery down to 48% using the equipment that I already have?

I have used an old car headlight to discharge a few min at a time. You have to be careful so the headlight doesn't get too hot.

That's what I was thinking too. I wanted to buy a used battery charging stand and wire a car headlight to it. I already have a volt meter and soldering gun. Does anyone have a diagram of how to build such a discharge device? Also, I tried to place a wanted ad in the classified section for the battery charger stand but there is a message saying that I don't have the privileges to post in that thread?? What??
