Talk about the luck of Bob!
Went out to my local AMA field, had my glider and my H with me.
Had the Glider laying on a table, and was in the process of setting up my H. Had her already to go minus the battery. A gust of wind came by, tossed my glider up and over into the H, both hitting the ground. Broke one of the wings on my glider, and popped the camera off of the H. Broke the rails on the CGO3+ (already ordered a replacement) but I could not find the pieces to repair it.
Was not a total loss, flew my 3 batteries down on the H. Actually got 21 minutes on the last one, mostly just hovering. Amazing how much power the camera takes up.
The lesson here: Make sure your aircraft is strapped down before you take your hands off of it.

Wow, I've had things like that happen to me in the past. Almost sounded like something for a FliteTest blopper reel.

Would have made a good one for those guys. Too bad there was no video.
Thank goodness the glider is made from foam. Some 5 minute epoxy and I will be flying again.

The store I bought mine from also has a paintball team and they use their "H" to film the events.
They drove about three hundred miles to a competition and opened the rear hatch of the Suburban and their "H" just fell out of the truck breaking four props and three arms.
So don't feel too bad.

I'm sorry Bob. For your mishap, yes, but more for the inability to just walk away. I just can't resist the need to state your words of wisdom seem to apply to much more than aircraft.

Happy flying! :p:rolleyes:

THoff,
Yep, the first part with the rails.
Already ordered a replacement. Lucky for me that was all the damage and an easy fix.

You know a person can't help but laugh. I'm trying not to, really I am, but it's just too **** funny!

Thanks to Vertigo Drones. ( No I am NOT affiliated with them)
My part arrived and my camera is again functional. Hardest part was trying to get the washers around the locking pins. Used the barrel from a ball point pen and worked like a champ.

That's the same thing I used when I had my crash. Seemed like an easy way to punch them on evenly.
