Flight Sim bug maybe? (Also Hi, I'm new here... :))

Hi people,

New owner here from Melbourne, Australia. Got the Typhoon H a few days ago, stared at it for a while (intimidating looking thing isn't it!?) then decided to try the flight simulator. Worked fine, but I think I may have found a bug. I can't seem to get the bird to fly through the safety circle no matter what the height is. It seems that instead of a no fly dome around the user, it puts a no fly cylinder all the way to space.
I tried going to maximum height but it still refused to fly directly above me. As I haven't flown it IRL yet I was wondering if this is only a geofencing issue in the flight sim, or does it happen to the real aircraft as well?

Thanks in advance,
Psychlone.

In smart mode it will do that with the sim, but in angle mode it does not. Not a glitch, just the way the software was written.

When you fly in smart mode and get directly overhead, the aircraft has no way of knowing which way it should fly because it has reached the null point for smart mode. It might fly in almost any direction when you move the right stick. So.....never fly directly overhead in Smart mode. It's simply unpredictable.

Oh wow, I had it in angle mode all along except for the time I was trying to fly overhead. No idea why I changed it. Ok, everyone point and laugh...
I'd have to laugh with you. On one of my first flights with the Q 2-1/2 years ago, when there was very little information available, I tried flying overhead in Smart mode. I was incensed that it got squirrelly overhead. I tried it several times before I realized the poor Q didn't know what to do if there is no horizontal separation.
Experimenting is a great way to learn. It's even better when no crash takes place.
