Capt Drone performs this maneuver. Cannot figure out how he gets the left stick to do what he demonstrates unless he changed the way the stick performs in the controller.

Start at 4:10 to 5:00 When I move my left stick left or right the Drone yaws and changes direction if underway.

To save time go to 4:10 in the video to start.

On your ST16 go to:
- System Settings, OK
- Mode Select

Most pilots in the US fly Mode 2. It's possible he uses Mode 1.

I accidently changed mine from Mode 2 to Mode 1 one day and didn't realize it. Needless to say it took me a few minutes to figure out what was going on, land and once again select Mode 2.

The guy is in Canada I think. Maybe he does use a different mode?

Perhaps he didn't make it very clear when he edited the video. He is demonstrating the use of the right pad, cruise control. Once you start moving by pressing the pad a few times, you can still yaw the aircraft with the left stick, which changes the heading of the aircraft.
If you point the aircraft North and press the pad for forward, it will fly North. Then move the left stick to the right and change the heading to the East, it will continue to fly forward which is now East.

This is Mode 2.

In that video I thought he said that he would do that with just the sticks? Then he was going to demonstrate doing the same thing with the D pads?

That whole section of the video was about using the pad for controlling slow movement. He is only using the left stick to control heading and altitude. I think he skipped through it kind of fast, but he is using the pad for speed and not the right stick.

Here's a better video on using the cruise controls. Produced by @Ty Pilot
It starts with a look at his setup and pre-flight. BTW, I have one of his transmitter trays and it is DA BOMB!

Thanks Ron: I have seen that video and also have one of Ty's trays. I really like it also.
