I have to say the new manual mode works great. I can use it on the fly with out any issues so far granted just used a few random times no issues at all for me atleast for now. This will be used when needed for gps compass issues which I hope never arise.

I believe Terrence is referring to Manual Flight Mode (Switch S4 all the way forward). This mode does not use the gps to fly, works for flying indoors.
