Hey,
The following is a section of text taken from an FAA report published earlier this year.
The Federal Aviation Administration has released its latest report detailing the number of claims it has received about drone sightings near aircraft and alleged consumer drone collisions with aircraft. Though it has received ‘several’ pilot reports of drones colliding with airplanes, the Administration says that none of the reports have been proven true following an investigation, with causes instead including things like impacts with birds or malfunctions.
And these are just two headlines that have appeared recently.
F-16 military jet crashes near Joint Base Andrews in Maryland; pilot parachutes out!
Navy grounds all T-45 training jets after instructors refuse to fly!
Drunk Sunwing Airlines pilot sentenced to eight months, banned from flying!
So, like the title says maybe the FAA should be concerned with the much bigger problem of old worn out aircraft and bad or under the influence pilots flying behemoth aircraft over our heads than looking for trouble where it doesn't exist!
Just a thought,
OMG
