what is the square antenna for is it better than the round one on st16 now?????
came in box but instructions are none......

any help welcomed

It sounds like a Patch antenna for the 5.8 GHz video. Never knew they were included by Yuneec. Can you post a picture of it?

The patch is more directional and with good line of sight could provide a further out video link than the polar antenna.

Thanks for that just waiting for some nice weather now to try the typhoon

Yuneec told me at the weekend at the NEC that the aerial is very directional compared to the old one but you must keep it pointed at the Typhoon H, for long distance it is very good but for short distances if you move the ST12 around a lot or the Typhoon H is flying close and across the controller you could inadvertently loose the signal.

Note the sticker on the aerial......
