Hi

I have a Typhoon H.

Flown it in the past. No problems. Haven't flown it for about 18 months.

Watched a couple of vids online to refresh my memory. All good.

Pulled it out and was quite surprised the batteries held very good charge. They were a bit puffy though.
Not the hard placates casing but the label part on both sides. Is that ok ???

Fired everything up. In the top right hand corner between the time and battery % the number was 10, what is that?

and on the left hand side under "SAT" i had 8 but "GPS" was initialising and it didn't get going , so I shut it down, re booted and it got to NO GPS and the H started beeping continously. both times the light was flashing green.

Whats going on ???

Flashing green means you are in Smart Mode (bad idea for take off) and it hasn't been allowed to find all the satellites it needs.
You want angle mode for launch ideally, and should wait for the light to go solid purple / white flashes before turning motors on.

Battery packs can 'gas-out' to some degree during normal use - if you can push the labels and they are just slightly springy to the touch that is fine. But if they are inflated and hard to the touch that is more concerning.

From the first image it appears you are initializing indoors. You may have better luck getting GPS by moving outdoors.

I was on an apartment balcony.

Im still uploading the video showing the beeping and green flashing

For GPS acquisition, it is best to be in an open area with at least 100 degrees open sky. Being on a balcony you are blocking at least half of the sky.

Unless it's a particularly massive balcony I wouldn't fly from there. The H can get a bit drifty on landing, and if you lose GPS lock when coming in, it could all get a bit hairy quite fast...

If it’s beeping the system requires calibration before the next flight. Use the site search function to find the thread covering “beep of death”. Do not fly it until system calibration is performed.
