Just came in from a successful 5 flight since I've had my H back from Yuneec and I'm a little shocked.. as usual I take of while in my front yard, and do a little control check and while doing so got a tad too close to an old basketball pole.. the blades did grind against the pole for just a split sec,as I was quickly able to fly away from it.. it immediately landed but didn't go over to inspect it like I now know I should have done but didn't.. it seemed ok, I lifted up again, everything seemed ok, so I take off to up too 1800ft away to check on my cows.. got some great footage, &I had a great flight.. 15 minutes goes by and the battery is by then of course going down, do I head by home..everything was perfect, I go to pick the H up and I can't believe that I see a broken on propeller blade!! It's chewed up pretty good on both sides!! I'm thinking how could this have happened?? The 5 blade engage never alerted me!!(I've broken a blade before up in the air so I know what to expect). I'm totally shocked, for 1 these original yuneec blades are awsume blades and it must have been a balanced break on both sides of the blades for it not too alarm me or there's something wrong with that function of the H.. anyway, a

valuable lesson was learned to make sure I inspect my blades before every flight and even more so after u have nicked something's with them!!! LoL..

Holy Moly! Thanks for this post, this is valuable information for all of us. I have flown on 5 props, nervous as a mouse in a cathouse, but I had the warning (mine grazed a tree - my fault).
Thanks again.

Indeed there is enough left to still provide some lift which means the system is working well because it compensated for that blade and continued to fly. I would look at the other blades giving each a twist and flex to make sure there are no cracks. Impact damage can be hidden until you really look for it.
Altitude is your friend.

your H did exactly what it was designed to do but to be safe i would inspect each blade very closely , then change all the blades and buy a new set as the spare set , keep the blades that you may have a question about and save them . it's not worth a set of blades vs crashing and loosing your $1500 H . this in just my opinion , their could be micro cracks you cant see , i would rather be safe then sorry .
fly safe

I damaged one prop in flight a long time ago. The H did the same thing in maintaining flight. That's the nice thing about having 6 or more motors, the flight controller senses the disruption of flight stability and "compensates" by demanding more response from the remaining "good" motors. The FC can't "see" a propeller but it does react to any imbalance by sending appropriate control signals to maintain stable flight. Yours is working just fine.
