OBS doesn't like the sun

I noticed with the sun low in the sky the OBS seems to detect it as an obstacle and will suddenly stop moving forward toward to direction of the setting sun. Could be that it is a fail-safe when the detectors are blinded to keep in from crashing into something it cannot see.
Does anyone else have any experiences with this? Any tips on how to avoid it, other than changing course?

RealSense will do that, if the sun angle is at a precise point. Better to stop than run into something. With VLOS just switch the OA off and continue. I have run into this  a couple of times.

The RealSense module is based on two infrared cameras and even has a infrared emitter which allows the system to detect obstacles in a pitch-black room.

Unfortunately flying directly into the sun can overwhelm the IR cameras and make RealSense behave as if there is a solid wall in front of it.
