Finding batteries here in the UK had proved a bit more of a hassle than expected . The consensus was to buy gen ace but these are not available here . The best I could do has been overlander 5000maH 35C SUPERSPORT. So I bit the bullet and 4 arrived the other day at a cost of £400. However putting 2 into the battery compartment is a bit of a tight fit and 1 gets pushed in further than the other .and its not easy to wriggle back out. Is there a fix ie remove the side walls of the battery compartment to give a bit more space. Knowing there's wiring on ether side protected by the thin side walls Any help appreciated.
I'm also thinking i may try using 1 of the new batteries along with 1 of the lesser 4000maH 8c standard lipos. My thinking is that the new 5000maH 35C will be the leading battery and the lesser battery will make the second connection and act as a backup/reserve .
I would think flight time would be reduced by a few minutes but the extra wattage would eliminate the low battery warnings common with using only 3 standard 4500mAH 8c batteries that we are plagued with .
Thoughts ?
