Peau 8.25 and panorama shots

I was wondering if changing to a Peau 8.25 lens would effect the TYHs ability to use the panarama mode as the view angle is much shorter. I can well imagine that this might result in the nessasary overlap being too small. If this is the case would it be possible to adjust the software so it take an extra picture or two?
