Picture lag and signal for 5.8g not full

Any ideas why the 5.8g signal is not at the full strength. St16s is fitted with the 4halks range extender so should be better, could it be camera WiFi module, software or hardware issues? Pictures lags is the issue. Where to start the diagnostics for this 1. Drone itself flys great , maybe the drone uses the 2.4g and the camera signal the 5.8g . Any advice would be greatly appreciated

What is the signal level like using the standard antennas on the ST16S?

Do you have the lag using the mushroom or the small patch for the 5.8GHz video feed?

I would use a different controller, standard antennas to compare before chasing too many other possibilities. The 4Hawks antenna has a good reputation, but they also throw some extra failure possibilities into the system.

Cheers guys . Eventually found the fault . It’s annoying when u get a fault but when u discover the exact fault it’s a real joy . Picture attached, u might see the issue

Only close range , doesn’t be long loosing it. Bet u could upgrade the antenna for better feed long distance, it’s the mushroom so more like the mushroom on the st16s vs the patch flat antenna which would probably give better signal in direct line with the ground station . I’m curious now what the e90x uses as I can’t recall seeing a mushroom on it, maybe I’m wrong

It's an OFDM camera made for use on OFDM drones. It uses OFDM.
