Sending my Tornado to Ukraine?

Hello everyone.
I have a H920 Tornado which I repaired, although I may need to get a new battery for the ground station.
I live in Rhode Island. My brother fights the occupants in Ukraine. He saw the photo of my drone and asked if it’s possible to send it to him.
Of course, if it is useful there I will send it once the ground station is finished. However, shipping is costly, and the last thing I want is to pay for sending something useless instead of packing the box with the medical supplies I usually send.
I would like to ask experienced people about the potential use of this drone in the battlefield. From what I understand so far, it looks similar to Baba Yaga, however, Baba Yaga is a large agricultural drone designed for heavy lifting. At the same time, Tornado is made for professional aerial photography and video (and to entertain big birds lovers). I have not seen any information about this particular drone being used for lifting and dropping stuff.
Could anyone please advise me on this?
My brother is not a drone pilot, he serves in the infantry. He sees our birds working and knows that Baba Yaga is very effective.
Can Tornado do the same job? Please tell me what do you think. Thanks in advance!

Wow, depending on the payload, it can be a very effective item on the battle field. It would likely need to be modified over there to address potential compromise. But, just with a photo payload, it can do a lot, configure it with a thermal camera, even more. With some additional work, it could be used for cyber surveillance or even offense. It's my understanding the Ukrainians have some really talented people in the drone arena.

Thank you for your response. You are correct: my brother said that modifying a drone for certain purposes, if it’s not something totally impossible, can be done right there.
However, the drones of the Baba Yaga type are used as a weapon, for example for delivering and dropping explosives. For videography they usually use smaller drones, for example DJI Mavic.
If the Tornado can be used for the same purpose as Baba Yaga, if it is reasonably reliable - I will send it. But if this drone is a surveillance tool rather than anything else, I would rather send my brother one of my Mavics.
This is how I think: sending him the Tornado means that I won’t be able to send a package with the much needed medical supplies, body warmers (those are extremely important, my brother has a first hand experience and he said that those warmers, literally, save lives), water disinfecting tablets, hygiene products, etc. So I must take a very informed decision to make sure that I am sending what is more important and more needed.
No, I cannot ask my brother about it. He asked me to send him the bird, but when I said that I would like to try flying it, he started saying that it doesn’t worth it. However, the real reason why he said it doesn’t worth it is that: if his lil sister likes a toy, he will never take it away from her. This is why I am trying to get more knowledge about this particular drone without letting him know… 😢

Olena, you sound like a wonderful sister, your brother if blessed to have you. From the days when I was a solider, deployed overseas, I really appreciated the care packages family sent. Sending those, or critical supplies (First Aide kits/medical, etc) is awesome. Being willing to part with an H920 is just about the same as yelling at the top of your lungs, from the highest hill "I love you brother!". The fact he wants you to enjoy it says he loves you too. And...that the need for a drone like the h920 isn't as large as just needing drones. I've seen plenty of videos of the older DJI Phantoms in use. Whatever you may send, I guarantee they will find a good use for it.

FYI, the max take off weight of the H920 is 4990 grams, the weight of the bird with batteries but no payload is 3100 grams. If you dig deep enough into the manual, you should find that in there.

God bless,

Mike

The Dying needs to stop! Send the medical supplies instead!

This is my thought, too, as I gathered more information. The medical supplies actually do save lives and are much needed. Sending one drone instead would not help as much.
