Hi,
do you think that the Typhoon H backpack is strong enough to take it on the aircraft as checked baggage?

I have seen how checked baggage is handled from some of the airline ground crew and I would strongly recommend a hardcase for the H or any drone for that matter. Happy flying!

Problem I see with the hard case is identity. The quad/hexa is easily identified.
Hope it's heavily insured for loss.

Unless you are using one of the aftermarket cases that do not have "YUNEEC" plastered all over the case.

I've flown plenty of times and witnessed luggage handlers just throw luggage onto a flatbed then throw onto conveyor belt.
I wouldn't trust putting typhoon into luggage hold.

There are company's out there that make specialised cases with internal foam that are sized to fit in hand luggage, also make cases for checked luggage.
I would look to find something more suitable for checked luggage.

From what I've heard, the backpack is just the outer shell. You need to take the shipping foam that your H came in and put it inside the backpack.

Considering this, one must ask - does this protect at least as well as the shipping box? And are baggage handlers worse on airline baggage than UPS and FedEx are on packages?

Ask a stewardess if she can put It somewhere special for you.

Interesting point; I also thought of this, but the backpack and its original foam seems not so much to protect the Typhoon H from impact or the pressure, but I could be wrong.
