Lately my typhoon H has shown a battery warning as soon as it takes off, but the voltage still shows 16.5 volts, it will show it again after a few minutes, but continues to fly eventually the voltage drops to 14.8 volts takes about 12mins (hovering a few feet off the ground) then another warning, goes another 5 minutes and machine will land its self.
The battery's are about 5 years old and I know I have not be kind to them, putting them away with full charge not a storage charges.
Is this a battery problem or a senor problem in the machine or controller?
Thanks
Bill Latvonen

Thanks for your input will purchase a couple new batteries
With proper treatment maintenance charge how long should a battery last?

I have some 5 and 6 yr. old batteries that are still fine, although I never get more than 12-15 minutes per battery. I am happy with that, can't keep my old head up much longer than that anyways. Properly stored at 3.5 v. per cell,I think. I just use storage feature on my Venom Dual pro charger

That should be 3.8V/cell=15.2V for the pack. I believe the Venom charger is set to that for storage charge.

Yup you right on that, hate to admit I couldn't remember of the top of my head, actually had to go look . KC
No problem @7cyclops , I have worked with the different LiPo batteries so long I could recite specs in my sleep. There are other things that I have to go to reference material because my random access memory hasn’t been refreshed recently.

You use the Venom charger that has the storage function without having to set values. My chargers allow you to set values so I see the values each time I work with a battery.
