Has anyone had any luck getting their videos put directly on to an iPad using the lightning to USB 3 Camera adapter?

Apple and Android to not make good partnerships. You can’t pull imagery from the camera using USB and what’s in the ST-16 is low quality. Not worth the effort trying to make your transfer concept work.

What adapter are you referring to?
As Steve says you cannot connect directly to the micro USB port on the CGO3+ for anything other than factory uses.
Your best path is simply moving the files on the micro SD card to somewhere else. If your iPad can read a micro SD card that may be an option. If you have a Mac you can copy the files there and then Air Drop them to your iPad.
