What is the dif?

Hey @Steve Carr, you've got some 'plaining to do!
Steve is getting on in years, maybe he had an old man moment and got his Hs and his Plus confused. Hey Steve, putting the orange H20 body on my Plus really helps with that! Doesn't happen nearly as often now!;)
Ha....I don't recall the thread, but the camera tilt functions can't be sent to the C23 from the ST16. There has been discussion in the past regarding the process to tilt and pan the camera. I have always maintained the tilt and pan are sent on the 2.4 GHz signal while others suggest it's part of the 5.8 GHz video signal. If it was carried on the video signal then the ST16s would control that function when the camera is mounted on the H. If 2.4 signal is used then the pan and tilt won't work because the ST16 is bound to the H and it does not communicate with the C23.

Did I muddy that up enough to make it clear or complete nonsense?

I don't how to respond to the last question Steve, it was muddy and complete nonsense!

However everything before that made total sense. I have arrived at the very same conclusion, the pan/tilt commands are sent thru the 2.4gHz signal, the end result of neither controller being able to control the gimbal like I experienced is completely consistent with this. This is also supported by the fact that in the ST16 we can control all the rates of every 2.4gHz channel, the Tilt and Pan are Ch7 & Ch8.

The final proof:
The gimbal only needs power to activate the camera, the 5.8gHz link, and the basic gimbal centering and leveling functions, so even when the CGO3+/C23 is mounted on a SteadyGrip, the ST16/ST16S will receive the video feed and can control camera functions and settings via the 5.8gHz link, but there is no gimbal control thru the ST16/ST16S 2.4gHz signal because nothing is bound to it, this is only accomplished with the tilt knob on the SteadyGrip, a signal coming thru the gimbal mounting plate, not the 5.8gHz antenna.

Sorry I thought since you powered it up and mentioned the controllers, and team mode, you were speaking from experience.

I'm assuming you mean @Steve Carr when you say "You" , and not me in your reply.
I can easily see how you could take a different meaning from what Steve said, it is not completely clear and leaves room for assumptions. In his defense, every thing he says is true "Kind of like Team Mode, only different". Key words being Kind of and only different.

Can you give me the title to link to that thread please? I would like to read the entire thread, and maybe inject my experience to clear this up once and for all.

If there was never going to be a way of attaching to 480. then Yuneec should never of suggested, it and even more a dealer here in UK says they have both C23 models in stock.

Contact the dealer and see if anyone actually has a C23 actually running on an H480. I'd bet the answer is not what you're hoping for.

And has been mentioned before, ask any dealer making that claim, to give you the correct URL and version number of the firmware that adds the C23 to the available camera model list.

As I said in the linked thread, at £900 it's not worth it!

It's too expensive, if you buy a plus at offer, you only pay £450 more here in UK, they quite often have a flash sale.

For whatever reason, you are missing the point... it's fake news... the above referenced FW doesn't exist.

Not missing any point, I've read all about no firmware available so it doesn't work. And misinformation from Yuneec webpage promoting a non existent product, as I've said I'm not interested in it whether available or not, are the two variants not advertised in US shops? Clearly here it's misleading to advertise something thats not available or coming soon, it adds confusion. So sorry you misunderstood my meaning.

I'll rephrase, I'm not interested even if the C23 were available for the 480, for me I would rather add the extra few hundred pounds and buy the new complete new plus model.

Fake News, false promises, mythical firmware, unrealized dreams, hopes dashed against the rocks of despair!
I came to the conclusion that a C23 on an H480 was going be harder to come by than a Unicorn. So I fooled them and bought a Plus!
...guess who got fooled?

They got your money one way or another. But it was worth it!

The Breeze is the child of a proud Blade 200QX and a Chroma. No relation to TH series.
The Breeze is nothing more than the red headed stepchild of the family.
Oh, and the 200QX! Now that's a fun little flyer! Especially if you crank up the rates all the way! o_O
One my favorite children to just go out and have fun with!
