Yuneec Typhoon H

Let’s go back to the first post for a moment.

Have you tried removing and re-installing the gimbal? Doing so helps to assure it’s correctly mounted.

Firmware was mentioned. What firmware is currently loaded in the system? Tap “Settings” on the ST-16 with the aircraft turned on. Then tap “About Controller”. That will cause the ST-16 to display loaded firmware. If no firmware shows for aircraft or camera it indicates lack of bind or no connectivity. Bind is usually the issue.

Come back and let us know what you find before going further.

Uhmmm... Did you try contacting the seller and ask for a replacement? Since it's "fresh out of the box" I presume it's bought brand new and very recent, so warranty won't repair it but replace it outright with a new one.

I was about to suggest the same thing. The camera gimbal contacts could be slightly oxidized, interfering with connection.

There are many things that could be involved, some that arrived with the H, some that may have been self induced, we just don’t know. What we do know is without a systematic approach to the trouble shooting and correction process the odds are high there will be no solution. The shotgun approach to changing everything without any understanding of what your doing rarely fixes anything. The history so well documented in these forums shows that more often than not the problems become worse, and oh so frequently started with a newbie trying to update firmware.

First and foremost, RTFM. Next, establish what you have. Next, start with simple things before moving to complex things. Do only one thing at a time while assuring that what was done was done correctly.
