Hi all,

It appears that the Typhoon establishes a 26 foot radius "fence" around the operator, such that the dynamic return to home feature can only land the Typhoon within 26 feet of the controller. Can this be edited or hacked to reduce or remove this fence? Does the fence apply to the Wizard controller?

Thanks,

Chris

Don't know about Wizard, but if you have, are holding, a CONNECTED ST-16 you would need to switch to Angle and land it manually.
Note that if the bird has no GPS it ain't gonna RTH.

Also, during the descent to land, you can control the Typhoon H's position and bring it closer than the initial 26 feet.

Yes, according to the Wizard user manual in the Flight Controls section:
"NOTICE: The safe distance between the TYPHOON Wizard™ and the aircraft is 39 ft (12m)"

For RTH the 26' cannot be changed. When you select RTH the bird will fly straight back and land around 25-30' from the ST16. Remember it will land in the line of flight, not left, not right, not behind. Always in the line of flight back to the controller. If you are standing on the shore and fly out over the water then hit RTH, guess where it's going to land? So you better back up about 50' from the shore line before it does land.
