I’ve seen several posts dealing with the G3 controller not controlling the camera gimbal or wondering where the update is located.
The following link will take you to the download on the Yuneec US site. Unzip the file and read the pdf file for the instructions. You may have to tell Windows to allow the exe file to run. Updating will only take a few seconds. When complete, connect using the BreezeCam app and select the Controller option. You can test the camera gimbal control using the upper left d-pad up/down.

I’m updating this thread with some information that came up after the original posting. The updates for the controller was developed using C++ in Microsoft Visual Studio as a 32 bit program. Several people as well as myself on a different computer have had the updates fail with missing dll files. To correct this, download and install the following redistributable package from Microsoft, then run the updates for the controller.
Download Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012 Update 4 from Official Microsoft Download Center
Sorry to hear that you had so much trouble with the Breeze. I agree that buying a new phone just to use on the Breeze as a controller would be fiscally nuts. Unfortunately compatibility with products on the Android OS is really helter skelter due to the many manufacturers using that OS. There are fewer problems with iPhones/iPads because there is only one manufacturer.
It only took a few seconds to update the controller. The updated firmware corrected the assignments on the d-pad for controlling the camera movement.
If you ran the updater and you had no warning about missing files then you already had the proper Visual Studio runtime files on your Win 10 64 bit system. It is only if you get the missing file warning that you need the 32 bit runtime files.
Your post did bring up a phenomenon that I had not heard of yet and may explain why some thought they had updated, but it didn’t take. You said running with nothing attached gave the same message about the update being complete. This means the updater is sending the update without any acknowledgment from the controller. So if people didn’t hold R1 and A all through the update the controller wouldn’t store the firmware.
You do need to install the x86 (32bit) version for the update to run properly. Be sure to follow the directions in the pdf file included in the download.
Once the controller is updated, you can test it by connecting via WiFi, going to controller mode , then once the controller connects just use the D-pad to lower and raise the camera.
I grew up in Pinellas Park. My sister still lives in St. Pete...small worldNot too far from you. I'm in St. Pete. Thanks for all your great posts!
Any idea what to do if your computer says that the USB connection to the computer malfunctions? my computer isn't recognizing the usb from the remote. Says it may be the device???I’ve seen several posts dealing with the G3 controller not controlling the camera gimbal or wondering where the update is located.

Use this newer information only if the updater fails for missing dll files. Use the 32 bit version even if you have a 64 bit system.
