CT Drone Laws

CT UAS pilots: I’m having a heck of a time finding anything concerning current requirements to fly in CT. I’ve found the DEEP law forbidding operation in state parks, forests, and the like but not much more. Also, I live within 5 miles of a municipal airport. Would I call the tower to let them know I’m flying? Any help would be great and thanks in advance!

By law they have to be notified if your flying within 5 miles. Download the apps called Airmap and UAV Forecast. They will help you find places to fly around you and give you an idea on weather conditions and wind speeds in your area before you try and fly.
