Hi all,

I know others have had trouble stitching E90 photos, although as of yet I have not encountered this issue... Anyway, my question on the E90 is a different sort. Does anyone know the spatial reference used to record the EXIF data on this camera? Is in WGS84?

Secondly, messing around in ArcMap I noticed there is no heading information; does the E90 not record heading for each photograph?

Lastly, Yuneec appears to collect navigation data from the E90 (see below). I thought Yuneec did not do this?

"COLLECTION AND PROCESSING OF DATA
Yuneec may collect navigation information such as GPS data to help improve our
products. We may also collect Depth Map information and Infrared Image information
from your drone delivered to our service center for repair and maintenance service or
any other service. We may also collect other information such as device information,
server log information, etc. We may also collect personal information used in registration
if you choose to become a registered user and any other information user provided to
Yuneec."

Well, China would have a big cloak for data collection. In the right pocket, DJI, in the left, Yuneec?
Where did you find that?

I thought he had loudly proclaimed that he did not do data collection as their counterpart to make a difference.

I think the point about data collection is that the ST-16 does not 'phone home' the way other drone companies do. However if you send your drone in for a repair, they will have access to and possibly store a copy of some or all of the telemetry data to identify usage patterns and problems.

The E90 location data is GPS, so will be WGS84. I'm not sure if there is heading information in the Exif data, but the telemetry records camera orientation for each image.

.

Yuneec obtains telemetry data ONLY when you actively give it to them. That may be by lesving it in an ST-16 sent if for service or providing them a copy of telemetry via an e-mail folder/file.

It is possible that telemetry could be collected during an on line firmware update but users don’t have to perform updates in that manner. Those that are forward thinking would use the SD card method.
