"Paul Motts says he saw a man in hi-vis clothing packing two craft into a rucksack before racing off on a bike "
do you really think that somebody doing this would wear hi-vis unless of cause they work for the government or large entity

I'm guessing you haven't seen Ally Law's YouTube Channel then ?! That guy and his crane-climbing, overnight challenge, parkour-style friends very much appreciate and deploy the 'Power of the Viz' to help them get away with their low-level law breaking ;) Interestingly, he trolled the Gatwick incident as well, then had to make a hasty video to apologise !

Let’s just hope this whole thing comes to a very conclusive end. Looking ahead, these terrible acts in the long run will end in all of us honest pilots being very inconvenienced by drones being manufactured with more sophisticated firmware to lessen our enjoyment. If it hasn’t done enough already. It will start the wheels turning in the governments heads and likely further cripple our airspace. Just imagine not being able to exceed 200 feet rather than 400. Just something to think about

In the US they are trying to pass local legislation to make flying less than 200 feet illegal (privacy concerns). Yet people have no qualms about being monitored by video cameras everywhere they go, and don’t think twice about someone with there smart phone taking video and pictures everywhere.

Heck, if I want pictures of scantily clad people all I have to do is walk along most any beach with my phone and get better results than with my sUAS. If there is inclement weather the Internet has a plethora of the same.

The only drones we really have to be concerned with are the ones the military uses. They can and do carry armament and can get better imagery than what we are capable of.

Any way you want. I look forward to reading the various responses. I already provided the opportunity to say I’m nuts, although nobody needs permission to do that;)

Hard to choose a favorite. The first is most plausible, but the second has some credibility. Just look at the UAS conference in the US recently that had no representation for the hobbyist or small commercial pilots. Only big business and how they can take over and control the airspace beneath General Aviation airspace.
