Gimble wire connector flap?

Hello everyone,
Newbie here and setting up my drone , I noticed the gimble wire was actually in the accesories box and I had to hook it up , question it seems there is a rubber flap covering the one connector , I can lift it and put connector in but flap doesn't seem to sit flush now , not sure if I am over looking something or doing it wrong , any suggestions much appreciated .

If your camera and gimbal have gold connectors on the slide mount, you do not need the wire. In that case the cover will be closed. With the wired connected, it will be open.
