GUI Not Seeing Typhoon H

Just installed the GUI for the Typhoon H including the drivers, but when I plug in the drone using the USB cable that came with the drone into my laptop I get an error message that "COM9 Not Found" I am running Windows 8.1 at this time. I do know that when I plug in any flash drive into the USB it pulls up all files on that flash drive.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Also try another USB cable, sometimes they do not make a proper connection

Here is another thread addressing the same problem
G.U.I won't connect
as others have stated, you must follow the procedure
The H must be fully booted BEFORE you plug in the USB
Also the cable makes a big difference and remember that it might take a minute for the GUI to see the H.
Another possibility is your Virus software may be blocking the GUI Program
See if changing your blocking may help.
Keep us informed and this will get solved !
 
Update: After installing the GUI over 15 times and only using the usb provided by Yuneec the interface is finally able to see the drone. Thanks to everyone who responded back with any thing they thought might help me out. Happy Flying!
