How do I update the apps in the PAD mode?

I would like to update maps and any of the other google apps on there.
When I go into the current google maps on there it does not want to take my login for some reason.

There appears to be a bug in the latest firmware that has broken Google login/updates. I've not worked out if there is a workaround, but it prevents you from updating apps at present.

Well that could be the bug which was waiting to be fixed in the uk version.
