I've got a problem. Not sure if it's good or bad.

It's nothing that $$$$$ can't solve though.
I bought the Typhoon H for a hobby. I took the wife out with me learning to get use to it. Of course I let her try it.
Fast forward to now. Every time I take the H out to fly, she willingly goes too and wants to fly too. This is all good.
The problem is, now she's hogging all the flying time. She actually has a better depth perception than I do (which I'm more than a little jealous of). I bought her very cheap, no frills Syma drone for her to play with. I told her she needed to learn the basics in case the H had a LOS or worse. Yesterday morning, while it's cool, we go to fly and guess who has to fly the Syma?
Now I'm considering a second H, this time for myself.

I've got the same problem. My wife had never done anything radio controlled except for the garage door opener. We have an agreement, I fly my project first and then she can play. She loves it. I have another H that I bought for parts and might have to get another ST-16 and more batteries so we both can fly.

I got a second ST and team fly now with my wife. It's calmed down the scrutiny in my drone expenses as she's as interested as I am in how drone shots can be composed.

I told my wife she has to share in the expenses in getting the other H in to flying status. I'll give her the H and she has to buy the ST-16 and batteries. And if she crashes she has to buy the parts for repair, I'll throw in the labor.

If you can wait a bit longer, until the H520 is released, I think you will see lots of H's on the market. Many people will want to upgrade and sell their H.

And once you get the next ship, your H suddenly becomes easy and fun. I use my Chroma as an FPV flyer now and with my DX9 set up can fly it crazy fast in ways I never thought possible. Once you loose the worry over the camera you can fly a little more open.

The July holiday sales, one day which turned into a week or more, sold a bunch of Typhoon Hs.
My personal opinion, which is worth what you are paying for it, is that not that many will jump ship to the 520.

The 520 costs 2 to 3 times as much as the TH. Commercial guys with the moola to buy more than one 520 for redundancy are the main market. Even with the purchase of an "Overnight Replacement Plan" they will still need more than one. The 520, at first anyway, will not have the RealSense system.

Folks, here and elsewhere, have written the TH (and Yuneec) off time and time again. For the price and features, availability of parts and fairly easy repair, I believe the Typhoon H will remain viable for some time to come.

I was one who bought during Carolina Dronz's Fourth of July sale. If they offered that sale again, I'd be very tempted to do it.
