When I go to land my typhon h start to do a small orbit as it starts to land not on smart mode not an orbit settling and it trys to faceplant if I don't pull bac up
If it doesn't do the little orbit thing it lands great

What is around you when you try to land?
Give us the landscape around you all objects, how far or near?

If you start getting the “little orbit thing” abort the landing and raise the TH back to 20 feet and wait for it to settle into a stable hover, then re-attempt the landing.

My house is about 20 feet big pine trees about the same surrounding me and a corn field that about 30 feet behind me

I tried that and it seam to get worse maybe I didn't go high enough?? I'll try again but it's not the drone itself??

You are experiencing reflected GPS signals. I get the same type of thing at my Michigan home that has a lot of large trees around it. See if you get the same thing in a more open area.

Yeah pluse I'm kinda close to a military base ..I had a q500 drop out of the ski into a huge cornfield never to be found ??. I still make a pass or two hoping to see it in the video

If close to a military base with any degree of transmission hardware, you probably lost signal for other reason... stronger signal trumps low or passive. If the Q500 was prior to harvest, you can cease the search...it's little bits blown out the back of a combine or chopper.

On an unrelated tangent to 480H Landing... the GPS Reflected... other wise known as multipath, your comment got me pondering since in the Ag science taller vegetation "can" have the opposite effect and loosely associated with NVDI outcomes.

It's a little boring read, but an old article your "reflected GPS" recalled an Interesting Read... between the Ag substance, still has interesting GPS knowledge.

Ignore the Cookies error msg... it's a link to the AGU Earth & Science Pubs

Unfortunately you are right about that. Pulse al the rain we've had it's probably toast I'm gonna keep trying Never know

Can I make my GPS stronger??

Probably ways to accomplish, I’m not the one whom could respond. Others may have methods... there was a thread on an improved GPS tower for H to help reception and cooling... I think.

But that won’t alter or effect mil-spec Radar, Microwave, and various transmissions.

have to look into it thank for the reply .

There is an article I've posted several times how pine needles will absorb r.f. signals

Absorption
Absorption describes how objects absorb a radio signal. When a radio wave strikes materials, it can be absorbed. Buildings, trees, or hills can absorb RF.
Note:
Organic materials tend to absorb more RF signal than inorganic materials. Pine needles are noted for, absorbing a great deal of RF emissions because their needle length is close to 'LA wavelength of cellular signals. Phasing of RF signals in the 800-MHz range lends itself to being absorbed by pine needles because the length of the pine needle is equivalent to 'LA wavelength in the 800-MHz range.

Great information here. However, @Chevyfreke needs to verify if this is location specific or if it happens at other locations. Not enough information to make a judgement regarding the cause at this point.

Just in this location I have the problem I did notice today that when it happened the orange light flashed on the indicator once.

If it's an orange/amber indicator, does it mention calibration?
If so you will also see amber light flashing on the back of the H, if this is the case just turn off the motors, 2 seconds later turn them back on, it usually resolves this issue.
Hopefully when you take off, the front of the H is facing away from you.
