New LiPo battery 2 years old when purchased!!!

Is a 2 year old battery still NEW despite of the fact that it has been stored in the shop for 2 years before selling?
I just bought 2 new (?) batteries for Typhoon H and they have been manufactured in Nov 2016. The package was unopened i.e. from the factory...

They are what’s called new, old stock. Do not expect them to hold up well. They won’t and can’t due to the natural aging process with lithium ion batteries. Personally, I would try to return them as being past useful life and unsafe for use, obtain a refund, and buy a couple new batteries for less $$ from GensTattu.

Out of curiosity, what were the pack voltages when you obtained them?
