New Style H Antennas

Hi

My H has the new style antenna mount\tubes which house the wires for the 2.4Ghz antennas. I have a 4Hawks fitted to my ST16+, my question is will there be any benefit fitting the tuned 2.4Ghz dipole's to the H? Im not, as licensed, able to fly outside line-of-sight but more interested in good video and control feeds whilst possibly behind trees etc

There's little difference in the wires just dangling out of the bottom of the copter, the plastic covers offer a degree of protection, the upgrade kit I haven't tried, I've never lost 2.4 only 5.8 video, I'm happy with the 4hawks setup, I wouldn't recommend BVLOS, too many things can happen, but for stability of video highly recommended.

Although not a scientific test method as I’ve never done A-B testing on a single airframe, i have.a pair of 480’s. One has the wire 2.4 antennas, one has the dipoles. in 4 years of use I’ve not seen and appreciable range difference between them.

My opinion is to leave them alone.
