Just wondering about this, and how wifi works with this ? My first attempt got me into worried mode when I lost camera connection, lucky rtl worked flawlessily. What I'm trying to do is fly from my yard over trees/forest then lower down for some shots over water roughly 500 yards away, then return to rtl ?

Once you put trees between the aircraft and controller loss of signal is probable. Descending below tree top height almost assures signal loss. A clear radio path must be maintained between the aircraft and the controller. At 1500’ you might as well depend on losing the signal.

I always draw an imaginary line between my controller and copter and try and keep things out of it's path, seems to work OK so far.
