Hi all, recently purchased a 350 qx3 and due to the issues with the app and the cgo2 camera I brought a st10 controller, it connects fine to the cgo2 but not to the drone itself, I read that a transmitter may need changing out but the thread seemed a bit vague, does anyone have any idea on what I need to do to bind them, thanks in advance
The QX3 uses a Spectrum type receiver like generic RC aircraft. The ST10 uses an SR24 as used in Q500, Chroma and most other Yuneec drones. You will have to get an SR24 type drone receiver and install it. The SR24 receiver has a different connector, so you not only need the new receiver, but you will also need to obtain and solder the wires from a Q500 board to the QX3 board. The attached image may help illustrate the wiring needs.
That's brilliant, thanks for the quick reply, do you know if this causes limitations or compatability issues with the cgo2 or other flight modes or is it as simple as replacing the receiver and off you go?
It's been a while. I think you get some warnings on screen but I don't remember for sure or what they were. You do get some telemetry information as a side benefit.
