Does anyone know how you can receive 5.8ghz fpv video on a st16? Because I have a plane but my fpv goggles broke, so I was thinking if I could use my st16 controller as receiver.

The video feed on the ST16 is 5.8 GHz wifi. I don't know of any method to connect to a camera not made by Yuneec.

Edit: Sorry, I misunderstood the question.

The correct answer is: No. There is no way to receive analog 5GHz FPV signals. Also the HDMI is only an output, no input of video streams possible as far as I know.
ST16 receives the video a digital data packages via WiFi, Steve already said. The protocol is RTSP (Real Time Streaming Protocol). Analog receiver cannot decode that as well as the digital receiver cannot deal with analog video signals.
