ST16 Remote controller startup button not starting up the controller

I have to hold the startup button on the right side of the switch AFTER I have slid it to the left to get it to start up the controller. Sometimes I let go and it stops. Anybody else had this trouble? Sometimes it starts up on the first try!

Could be a dirty switch, might want to give it squirt of contact cleaner (the safe for plastic kind).

I second the contact cleaner solution. Ensure that you verify it is safe for plastics before purchasing. A dirty switch can be unpredictable in it's use. Can't hurt to try cleaning it before digging deeper.
