Still learning, I panned too fast. Was a little anxious to get the shot and get back down. Landed just before the rain hit.
Where is the best instructions on how to balance the props?Panning when taking video is one of the most difficult to do slowly. I also noticed some jello in the video. Your props may need balanced.
I gather I'll have to order the shaft from Carolina Drones. It's a bit long. I use a water glass and it works great.
The evaporation rising to meet the clouds was interesting to watch. Haven't seen that before.I did a storm once. Afterwards I thought I should have flown around instead of just hovering and turning. I was nervous as the wind was approaching in front of this squall front. But got it done.
Right. I tried both an aluminum shaft and a carbon fiber shaft. The aluminum was not very good. The one below is the one I use.I gather I'll have to order the shaft from Carolina Drones.
Was using some aftermarket props. No more. Still have not come across a balancer to check my props.Panning when taking video is one of the most difficult to do slowly. I also noticed some jello in the video. Your props may need balanced.
I got the DuBro 499 - works great. After reading some threads on here - I decided to stay with Yuneec props. For my purpose, they work just fine. Balancing will make some difference to video quality. Perhaps the best thing is to get out there and get some time in. Anyhow....Was using some aftermarket props. No more. Still have not come across a balancer to check my props.
I tried several balancers including the Dubro. None of them worked to my satisfaction. I found the props are really too light to overcome the wheel resistance and they just sit there as if they are in balance. Was using some aftermarket props. No more. Still have not come across a balancer to check my props.
