What does a puffed battery look like?

Hi,
just talked to Yuneec and they were asking me if my battery was puffed.
Just wondering if someone has a picture of a puffed battery,
My 2 batteries look the same and don't looked puffed to me, is it very obvious when they are?

If they don't look puffed, then they aren't. When they get puffy it will be obvious. Here is a comparison between healthy and puffed.

I think the OP wasn't a daft question at all. I too had no idea what a puffed battery looked like until my tutor showed us one in the classroom when I was studying for my Remote Pilot's Certificate...and I'd been flying multi-rotors for over a year before then.

I think it turned out to be great question, with an equally great example. Some of us have experienced the condition one or more times but forget that a great many are using lipos for the first time. I'm guilty of that anyway. Those of us that know may not be as effective as we hope to be with text descriptions that generates a good mental image.
