Yuneec Repair Question

Hi,

Flew Q500+ into tree. The CGO2+ black plastic front got lost. (see photo).

Called Yuneec customer support because this piece is not listed on store website. Was told Yuneec doesn't sell this piece. I asked "so what should I do? Are you telling me I have to replace the whole camera for a piece of plastic?"

Yuneec CS is always friendly and courteous.

Anyone have any suggestions? No looking forward to flying with the camera this open.

So the FPV skew planar antenna is inside the camera housing... interesting.

Try contacting @Yuneec_Usa here on the forum and see if maybe he could help.

Thanks for suggestion. Yuneec contacted me today. Milton in CS obtained a spare cover part and although it is not an item typically for sale, sent one out. Can't wait to get the aircraft in the sky again.

Great news!
Maybe you could glue a short fishing line tether to the inside of the camera housing and to the inside of the cover so if it pops off again it will be connected by the tether.

Looks like Yuneec spent some time in development of the camera - nice antenna!
