I'm looking to hack a Yuneec CGO SteadyGrip (8 AA) (YUNCGOST101) so that I can use the Yuneec Typhoon H CGO3+ on it. I'm looking for info that will describe the pinout of the plug on the underside of the SteadyCam so that I can connect it to the Yuneec Typhoon H gimbal connection board shown below. Any assistance will be helpful.

You may want to get in touch with Carolinadronz.com. I believe that they've already modified one and sell it on their website. Maybe they could help.

There's only 3 wires to connect. From the plug on the steadygrip you have positive negative and pwm. If I remember right the typhoon socket is labeled up as to which pin is which.

steady grip

I was sold YUNCGOST101 by Yuneec Sales folks, they claimed that it will work with Typhoon H CGO3+ camera sans pan/tilt is this true?

Pilot100, it will not work in it's base configuration. The connect on the steady grip is different than the connector on the CGO3+.

Yes, we only carry one steadygrip and it is not fully compatible with the H but it will work for a steady picture or video.

Thank you,

Thanks Angela for the input. I own both a CGO3+ and Steady Grip (YUNCGOST101 - 8 AA). Do you have any documentation on how to make the CGO3+ work with the Stead Grip (not to be confused with the Action Cam). The connectors do not match so there's no way to power on my CGO3+ when I attach it to the Steady Grip. My mod above (aka, this thread) is an attempt to get the two to work together. Please provide additional clarification if you can....

I am not Angela, but that was the response I got from Angela at Yuneec. Hope she is right, but if you already own one and it doesn't work not sure what to make of that response. I'll get mine Friday, hope I don't have to return it.

Oh... my bad... I cant read today :)
They have the action cam which she could be speaking about... the version that I have doesn't not work, however I saw a few different versions of the Steady Cam so there could be a version that works with the CGO3+. Let me know how it works out for you, I may buy one if you say it works.

I thought I saw in the video once he has it all set up he will be posting a how to, perhaps I misunderstood.

Some clarification here... Yuneec only sells the ActionGrip with the CGO3+ camera. But if you go to one
of the independent dealers like CarolinaDronz or VertigoDrones, you can purchase what they call a
"SteadyGrip w/ Lipo"... which is specifically an ActionGrip without the camera. Pan will not function,
but tilt will. The trick is getting a phone/tablet that will work with the CGO3 app. Do a search on this
forum and yuneec-forum.com for "CGO3 app".
