I have an ulra x battery heres the volts 6.76, 0.00, 4.31, 3.86, 62% is it garbage, or can it be saved ?
What are you using to measure it with? A DY3 charger can give very strange readings if not correctly seated?I have an ulra x battery heres the volts 6.76, 0.00, 4.31, 3.86, 62% is it garbage, or can it be saved ?
Both slots give that reading? I suggest reseating the battery first to make sure, even a meter to check, this doesn't seem right.Thanx, I will just dispose it, and yes it was the readings on the dy3
I often need to reseat the battery 2-3 times before getting the proper reading on the DY3.Both slots give that reading? I suggest reseating the battery first to make sure, even a meter to check, this doesn't seem right.
The difference from 1 slot to the other is 6.76- 6.74 then the 2 middle cells show 000, with the bottom showing 3.87 ? Whats the safest way to dispose of it, I dont want to throw it in the tras so when the truck compresses it dont want it to explode ?Both slots give that reading? If you are getting different cells reading zero the issue is more likely to be bad connections between the battery and the DY3. Take a pencil eraser and clean the contacts on the battery and the DY3 and try again. I'm not convinced the battery is bad.The difference from 1 slot to the other is 6.76- 6.74 then the 2 middle cells show 000, with the bottom showing 3.87 ? Do you have access to a multimeter so you can measure the voltages manually? I’m thinking that you are definitely getting bad readings from the DY3. A voltage of 6.7 V across a cell would be very unlikely and have it still intact. The difference from 1 slot to the other is 6.76- 6.74 then the 2 middle cells show 000, with the bottom showing 3.87 ? Well if that doesnt work at least I learned how to dispose them, salt water bath then the trash ? Pat had mentioned that but I didnt know what he was sayin then I caught another thread that led to an article on these thingsIf you are getting different cells reading zero the issue is more likely to be bad connections between the battery and the DY3. A LiPo killer is better. But you need to be 100% sure it's knackered. Do you still have stock charger? What does it do when you try to charge it?Well if that doesnt work at least I learned how to dispose them, salt water bath then the trash ? *** steve your the bomb, I didnt have an eraser at hand, so I used a small finish nail and all is good now I'm putting in storage mode now thanx againWell if that doesnt work at least I learned how to dispose them, salt water bath then the trash ? They are notorious for doing that, the charger usually throws up a warning if something is wrong!*** steve your the bomb, I didnt have an eraser at hand, so I used a small finish nail and all is good now I'm putting in storage mode now thanx again
It did the first time It said to check the tray I belive so I took it out looked at put it bac then no warning until the 4th, or 5th time the I stopped I was just going to throw it away ? I'm glad I didnt and stayed with it ?They are notorious for doing that, the charger usually throws up a warning if something is wrong!

Between my H, and H plus I've got 9 of "emAt least the money can stay in your wallet now!
Just curious.I have an ulra x battery heres the volts 6.76, 0.00, 4.31, 3.86, 62% is it garbage, or can it be saved ?
