I agree with you 100%. The last I heard the 400' AGL was just an ambiguous number like Tribal knowledge or street chatter and rumor. I read the pages that were referenced and I see so many violations of the rules on television. Local television stations flying over crowds, roadways, and emergency situations.
Flying to community based standards? In Hillview, KY then it would be a NO-FLY zone. That is where the "Drone Killer" lives. All of the video and telemetry information proved that he was NOT spying on the teenager, but yet the Drone Killer did not even get a slap on the wrist. I thought firing a weapon inside of city limits was at least a misdemeanor, apparently not if you are shooting at a drone.
I will re-read those pages again and make no mistake I will be in compliance when I fly again.
